Another .82′ of rain yesterday to up the total for August. I doubt we get any more rain this month so the total for August of 2009 will come in at 9.56″. That’s a lot of rain for one month. The top 5 rainiest months since moving up here come in as follows. 7.61″ of rain this week. And at the end of all of that comes this: We received 3.96″ of rain today. That brings us to a total of 7.11″ since late Saturday afternoon. So here are some weather geek stats put together after a little research through the HOS weather archives this evening. 3.96″ of rain blows away the previous daily record of 2.99″ of 8/27/06. 2.85″ of rain from late afternoon August 15th through the morning of the 16th. The yard is rather squishy. |
