Ok, so it’s been a month and a half since I updated this blog. For that I apologize. It’s been a pretty busy month and a half that has kept me from posting. That’s a lame excuse but it is the only one I’m giving. To cover the month and a half lapse we start off [...] Planted a mound of cantaloupe, a mound of watermelon, 7 sweet bell peppers, 2 jalapenos, 2 ceyennes, 3 pablanos, 1 super chile, 6 serranos, 2 habaneros, 1 scotch bonnet and 1 caribbean red pepper today to finish the garden. Pics to follow in a day or two maybe. Enough with the damn rain already. We’re going to be over another 1/2” of rain before the night is over with much more predicted for early tomorrow morning and day. We’ve had over 5′” of rain already in May after a very snowy Winter. April was warmer than May has been. Yesterday was the first [...] Went on a quick storm chase the other night. It was actually kind of fun. Nothing so great that a post was required right a way but fun anyway. It’s also amazing how having to see what is over the next hill will result in you not getting home until real late at night. I left [...] I really thought I’d have decent lightning or storm pics to post by now but the only storms we’ve had were high wind events during the day. No lightning, no decent cloud structure, nothing photogenic. FYI, I’ve taken the week before Memorial Day as a vacation for storm chasing. So, I can pretty much guarantee [...] |
