We are rapidly moving into Spring finally. The garden has been tilled once. Some of the early season plants (columbine, tulips, crocus, lillies) are starting to show some life and we are approaching the dates for the last freeze of the year. In the four Springs that we’ve lived here I only have reliable data for [...] As I sit here on the first day of Spring with a fresh 6” of snow on the ground I decided to review some stats for the first 4 winters that we have lived in this house. Not only does this feel like the worst winter we’ve had since we’ve lived here I’ve got the statistics [...] Hard to believe, but I noticed a couple tulips coming up yesterday. South side of the house, sheltered from the wind and full sun. However, it is still a sign that this freakin’ Winter is finally coming to an end. However, it still doesn’t really feel like it. |
