We are rapidly moving into Spring finally. The garden has been tilled once. Some of the early season plants (columbine, tulips, crocus, lillies) are starting to show some life and we are approaching the dates for the last freeze of the year. In the four Springs that we’ve lived here I only have reliable data for [...] The seedlings for the garden are coming right along. If half of the seedlings that are growing right now survive that will be more than twice as many than I had planned for the garden. Better too many than too few. Here is the 1st tomato that was potted into its 4′” pot to hang [...] So as I’m up at Pigeon Hill Conservation Area I realize that I am outside, not in 4 layers of clothes and it’s actually quite comfortable.
